Music Genome Reflection

2. A) Identify your chosen musical genre & B) say why you chose it.
My Music genre was pop. I chose it cause I wanted to know what made pop pop and its what I mostly listen too!



3. Describe your process...how did you go about finding your songs and information?
i just went through my itunes and saw who was under the pop genre. I also looked through Billboard top 50's from different years.



4. What different kinds of technology did you use to compile your project? [Web tools, Mac tools, etc...]I used all Mac tools.



5. What are you good at...what went well for you in this project?
Cutting music, and i really enjoyed it.



6. With what did you struggle on this project...what was difficult for you?
Timing everything from garageband and iMovie.
7. Did you decide to use still slides? Why or why not?  [If not, how did you convey your information? i used still slides in the beginning because there weren't many videos for Nat King Cole. Videos I felt had more impact and you really feel how people react to the music.
8. For what other classes, situations, uses could this type of project be adapted?  
I could use the skills I used in Garageband to make presentations for fun to watch.

9. What new techniques or technology tools did you use in this project that you've never used before?  Be specific.
I used how to mix songs and overlap tracks in Garageband!



10. How did your project use the transformative property of borrowed images, music, and information to comply with the Copyright Law of 1976?[...not just that you cited the information, etc., but how did you transform the music, information, images, etc.? 
I made a new song made with different songs, i also cropped photos and cut videos!


11. Would you do another project like this on your own? Why? Why not? 
Maybe not so much with the history and pictures, but i really enjoyed cutting music. I would like to go more advanced with mixing music!

PND Culture Review



A. To what degree did you work toward team goals?
Superior, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Needs Improvement

I would say i did Very Good, I would have don't more with the iMovie, but it was difficult since it wasn't on my computer.

B. What specific tasks and duties did you perform as a member of this team?
I helped with the editing on iMovie.


C. To what degree did you offer your gifts, talents, and time as a member of the team? 
(Please explain your answer) 
Superior, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Needs ImprovementVery Good, I could have done more with editing. I have done movies on iMovie before, so I could have done more with cutting footage.
D. To what degree did you take action as a member of the team? 
(Please explain your answer) 
Leader, Very Active, Somewhat Active, Had to Be Told What to DoVery Active, the whole team did a great job with choosing a topic, deciding who to interview and the overall project.
E. What makes you most proud about your movie and why?
How well it turned out. As a team we all had the same ideas of what we thought the movie should be like and we worked really well together.
F. If you were going to make any changes to your movie, what would they be?

Probably more interviews of students. I think we needed a another point of view  instead of just one.

Movie Review Podcast


2. What tools and techniques did you use to create your podcast?
I used a lot of cutting and cropping pictures. 
3.  How could you use a project like this in other classes?
I could use this skill to promote the class or a club. Possibly use it talk about a famous icon.
4.  In the “real world,” how could podcast projects be used (In what careers/businesses, etc.)?  You could use it to talk about a new product you want to sell to a company. 5.  In this project, what did you get good at doing?
Cutting music.
6. What was the most difficult part of the assignment?
 After i put all the pictures in and i watched it I realized they didn't fit right so i had to go back a find all new photos. So I would saying picture sizing was the most difficult part.
7. How did your project use the transformative property of borrowed images, music, and information to comply with the Copyright Law of 1976? 
[...not just that you cited the information - citing is not enough...tell me how you transformed what you've taken into something new, etc., How did you transform the music, information, images, etc.? I cut the music and cropped photos. I also had to change the contrast on the photos so they weren't to bright. 

8.  Would you do a project like this on your own?  
No, I found it frustrating and i dislike the sound of my voice.

9. If you were going to make any changes/improvements on your podcast what would it/they be?  ...and why? More information i think would have been good. I kinda just did a short brief description i could have gone into a little bit more detail.

iPhoto Name Reflection



2. List the search terms (words) that you used to find images (for the letters of your name and the images that describe you) and why?
I mostly typed in "the letter" and whatever letter it was. Also typed in a specific color or object I wanted the letter to be. I did this so i could find exactly what i wanted.

3. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
i learned how to make an iPhoto movie.

4. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation.
I could use iPhoto to make a present for someone

5. This was a more creative project than our first 2. Did you prefer it or the more cut and dry assignments in Word and Excel?
I thought this project was a lot more fun then the others

I cropped a few of my online pictures. I also messed with different color changes on them

Charity Letter Reflection


2. List the name of your business and its charity.
I represented Macy's and Make A Wish foundation was my charity.
3. How did you get the audience’s attention in the first paragraph?
 In my first paragraph i told the audience how they would feel being sick at such a young age. i tried to make them realize how truly bad this disease is.

4. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
I learned how to mail merge addresses from my excel spreadsheet to my letter.
5. What was the easiest part of this project? What was the most difficult part of this project? 
The easiest part was probably choosing my charity. I found writing the letter difficult , for i had to keep the audiences attention and support.
6. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation other than writing a charity letter.
 Maybe to write a business letter to a large group or people for work
7. Did you learn something new during this project that you did not know before?  If so, what? 
merging many addresses at once to the document

3. What tools/functions in Excel did you use to create your project? In Excel i used auto addition button which amde it a lot easier to add my numbers together.
4. What other skills did you use or learn in this project? I didn't really use any more tools cause i didn't need to.
5.What extras did you add to your project? In my project I added graph to show the numbers of M&M's and its color coded so you don't get confused.
6. What are some other uses you may have for a simple Excel spreadsheet?
Some other simple things to use Excel for would be calculate menu items or averaging numbers.
